He was never meant to be here.

Elijah was seven years old when he flew into The Hollows. He was always warned by his parents and fellow fairy peers not to go near the entrance of that part of their Enchanted Forest. Nothing good ever came for those parts. But there Elijah was in the middle of that godforsaken place.Chasing after fireflies, he didn’t realize he flew right into hell. As soon as the child hovered over that dirt path lined by dead flowers, his fate was sealed and a dreadful fate at that. With only the crescent moon as his guide the fairy got lost in the forest’s endless darkness. Venturing farther and farther, the woods’ sinister energy swallowed him whole. The young boy’s mind didn’t stand a chance.The Hollows taints your soul. Drowns you in pure insanity until your mind finally breaks.With the horrific ghouls and goblins chasing after him, you’d think he’d be scarred for life, right? No, actually you’d be wrong. Elijah can’t even begin to describe what his seven year old self saw luring between the trees that night. His memory is hazy.The forest has a way of doing that; keeping things a mystery, driving victims mad with confusion amongst all the chaos. Though that fateful night is a blur, he does remember one thing for sure. The emotions he felt. The Fear. Saying the boy was terrified is an understatement.He remembers crying out, screaming for his parents to come and save him but to no avail. He spent the entire night in those woods, scared out of his mind.

That’s Elijah’s memory of that life changing night.

He got lost in the forest, got chased by monsters, cried a lot and suddenly it was daytime. Suddenly he was back where he started. It was odd. He remembers he wasn’t crying. He wasn’t even scared anymore. He was more confused than anything. The fairy called for his parents—surprisingly he didn’t even have to move an inch before he saw two sparkles come speeding toward him.

Expanding to normal size, his parents stood on the outskirts of the dark, gloomy part of the forest. He recalls there being a sharp contrast. The grass was quite literally greener on the other side with flowers and other plants flourishing under the bright sun. Whereas his side felt lifeless with barely any living plants or grass. The trees were the only things thriving, though they were twisted into weird, arched shapes. And storm clouds were rolling in from his side, thunder rumbling and lightning threatening to strike at any moment.Elijah’s mom was clinging on to his dad’s arm, sobbing at the sight of Elijah. But those weren’t tears of joy. No. She was absolutely petrified.

Their son was covered in blood.

Elijah never understood what happened that day. He can’t recall why blood was plastered all over his body. It definitely wasn’t his own blood. Why didn’t his younger innocent self react when he noticed the blood? Why wasn’t he afraid or shocked by it . . . he just seemed to shrug it off. He was more concerned with his parents. He held his hands up, waiting for them to carry him away from the darkness . . .“S-Sorry I broke the rules. Didn’t mean to! I promise it won’t happen again,” He was the first to speak. His tiny voice hoarse from crying and shouting all night. “I wanna go home, mommy... Daddy it’s so scary in here. Let’s go!”

Elijah was abandoned.

His parents were only there to say their goodbyes. His mom uncontrollably sobbed and his dad trying to be her rock, only letting a few tears roll down his bearded cheeks. They said their “I’m sorry”’s before turning their back on their son without a single hug at least. Elijah attempted to run after them, but his feet were planted to the ground—unable to move forward. He could only move backward—back into The Hollows.

As Elijah faded, Jinx was born

He is stuck here now. Only allowed to leave when given permission by outsiders or the elders of these woods. But he must always come back. The Hollows gives him power. Staying away too long or venturing too far will not only weaken his power but also his health. He’ll likely fall ill and die if he tries to leave and never come back. Trust me, he’s tried many times before and Death was knocking at his door every time.He’s lucky the Enchanted Forest woodlander are so selfless and kind. They’d carry him back to the Hollows when he’d collapse, too weak to fly or walk back. It’s a bittersweet gesture though. Yes, they’re helping by carrying the beast back home to revive him, but his home is his prison.After many years and many failed escape plans, Elijah eventually stopped trying. His will power deteriorated. Elijah stopped being Elijah...The creatures of the forest started calling him Jinx. They ripped away his real name as a way to make him forget the past and stop him from thinking he even has a chance at a bright future. Elijah is dead.Now he has given into his more sinister side. It’s a side that he tried fighting in the past but it built up over the years of being in such a hustle environment. He couldn’t fight it any longer. Now he uses his time out to wreak havoc across the border or lure innocent unsuspecting people into the Hollows.

PSYCHO: ( preferably for killer/stalker/yandere aus ) A twisted plot where you and Jinx are dating. You two explore more extreme kinks. Because of Jinx’s instantaneous healing ability, knife play is a go-to ; a never-ending slicing paradise. One day you get heavy handed and little cuts become non consensual stabbing. Traumatizing Jinx, he tries to get away from you—only for you to keep him hostage.

V1. Jinx acts as the Elders' mouth piece; a messenger and often acts as a spy for the Hollows. He gains intel on various royals to eventually use against them. He doesn't like the job but this role was forced onto him.

V2. Going by his real name, Elijah is an up-and-coming actor. With just a few notable roles under his belt, he tries to navigate the entertainment industry—often getting advice from his best friend, Mattie and costar, Gangtae.

V3. A verse where Jinx's parents didn't abandon him. Elijah lived a "normal" life as a fairy and ends up going to college with thirst for knowledge; curious as to how humans think. The psych major juggles school work, his social life, and hiding the fact that he's a fairy. Oh and also trying not to die since he's still cursed and the Hollows still has his life in its hands.

V4. Boredom strikes the corrupted being. Why not help wreak havoc by joining the mafia? His incredible healing abilities makes him basically invincible against humans, so Jinx becomes a valuable asset. He often works in the field, directly in the face of danger as a drug runner or bodyguard.

NOTE ― In every verse, Jinx is a fairy and the hollows effects his health when he leaves.
